History
Mersera as a taxi company brand name started in Vilnius in summer 1998. New made taxi company symbol was chosen to be a rhinoceros – strong, tough, long-lived, smart and demanding respect animal. With the character Mersera wanted to be one of the first taxi companies, to set a extra high taxi service standards, offering comfortable, safe and luxurious taxi cars.

More that ten years ago 1988-1993 made black Mercedes-Benz E200 where brought to Vilnius and was a huge surprise for all local taxi companies. To ensure high quality service from the very begining of the company lots of attention was focused on detailes. Call operator had to be with perfect diction, drivers wore uniforms, daily wash and inspections of taxi cars was mandatory.
Significant amounts were dedicated to raise the popularity of taxi brand Mersera: radio and TV broadcastings, different kind of lotteries help in that. Although the fares were at the highest in the market, clients were willing to pay for the quality.
Step by step with time in year 2001 companies’ brand name logo was renewed. Rhinoceros symbol disappeared, but not the values it has symbolized.
To fulfill the expectations of loyal and potential clients in year 2005-2006 band Opel Meriva and Opel Vivaro refreshed the fleet. This time classic taxi yellow for car colors was chosen. Part of the old Mercedes-Benz E200 were also coloured in taxi-yellow. New fleet of yellow taxi was given a fresh, colourful and dashing logo, to be easier recognized in the city streets:
